TurboTraining Instructor - Bruce Amacker

TurboTraining Bio
Bruce Amacker started TurboTraining in 1998 in response to a growing need for specialized training in the automotive and diesel industry. After twenty-five years as a shop owner/operator who specialized in light and medium duty truck repair for small businesses, Bruce Amacker has great knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle repair.

As an instructor, Bruce Amacker relates well to technicians in his classes because he has been one—has felt the sense of accomplishment, as well as the frustration that come with automotive/truck diagnostics and repair. In 2007, Bruce Amacker was named Educator of the Year by the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT). Mitchell 1 and NACAT recognized him as one of the nation’s top teachers for excellence in automotive repair instruction.

In addition to researching, writing and teaching programs for TurboTraining, Bruce Amacker has conducted seminars at national automotive conferences—CARS Las Vegas, Vision KC in Kansas City, Auto Value Bumper-to-Bumper in Lansing, Grand Rapids, MI, Milwaukee, WI, and at Linder Technical Services in both Indianapolis and Toronto. He has participated in ASE Test Writing workshops in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008. He is also an ASE Master Technician in both Automotive and Heavy Truck areas with L1 and L2.

TurboTraining offers dozens of classes to meet the needs of today’s technicians. Instructors use power point presentations, visual aids, i.e., cutaway engines, demonstrator boards, and hands-on experience to provide a comprehensive training course. Full color manuals are also provided. The goal of TurboTraining is to increase awareness and skill level of technicians in diagnostics and repair, thus saving time and money.
